On one page I give a 'synopsis of my life,' and a review of my 'professional life' on another page. On my 'science' page I give a list of my scientific contributions. I'm, mostly, known for my invention of the P/N Junction Isolation in Microchips, which is used in all microchips and initiated modern electronics in 1958. But my most important scientific discoveries are the 1951 explanations of the photovoltaic effect used in solar cells, and the mechanism of the Light Emitting Diode. I, also, in 1953, introduced the concept of ionic lattice disorder at the surface and this "Lehovec Effect" is now the bases of nano-electronics. In the early 1960s I initiated the solid-state battery and the C/V analysis of surface states at the silicon/silicon-oxide interface by "The Lehovec/Slobodskoy Equivalent Circuit." From 1968 to 1970 I introduced "The Lehovec/Zuleeg Model." Fieldeffect transistors are designed by "The Lehovec/Zuleeg Model," which introduced the concept of drift velocity saturation of electrons. Those were just some of my scientific contributions that are listed on the 'science' page. On my 'inventions' page I give a list of some of my patents. A number of my scientific contributions are actually inventions. As my professional life started to slow down, I began my journey into philosophy and poetry (I became a poet in 1996). I give a brief descripition on some of my philosophical ways of thinking on 'the poet' page. Since I became a poet, in 1996, I have published six books of poetry, which are titled: A Modern Genesis (Nature Poems) A Poet's Odyssey (A full length play in verse) On the 'books & sample poems' page I list the books mentioned above and provide 10 sample poems for each book. The last book, 'A Poet's Odyssey,' I've provided scenes from that play. Well, that about covers the content of my web site. I hope you enjoy the site and I thank you for visiting. Kurt |
